‹ Earning Their Wings

Tweenangels is an offshoot of WiredSafety’s award-winning teen cybersafety expert group, Teenangels (est. 1999); they are Parry Aftab’s seven to twelve year-old “secret weapons” who help her understand what younger kids are doing online and assist in making the Internet safer and kids smarter.

Tweenangels are seven to twelve years old and the group was created by Parry in 2005 after a woman she admired (FTC Commissioner Pamela Harbour) wanted her daughters to join Teenangels, but they were too young; that’s when Tweenangels were born!

It was the Teenangels themselves who were instrumental in the creation of Tweenangels and encouraged Parry to create a special programme to compliment their own but for the younger demographic.
